The Seagull
In 2018, I worked with some of the best people in theatre – big shout out to Naomi Wirthner and the cast and crew of Barebones Theatre Company to bring Chekov’s The Seagull to life.
In a poignant and up-to-date telling of Chekov’s work by Simon Stephens, I played the philandering writer Boris Trigorin amidst the sound of owls and cows in what was one of the best plays I have ever done.
I also had the plesure of running one of my old favourites, the Meisner Technique, for warm-ups and relationship building. I love how it brings new life into scenes
Thanks team, it was a once in a life-time chance to work with some great people. Even Cate Blanchett and her husband, director Andrew Upton, showed up back-stage to share their appreciation – thank you!
